Hi, I’m Melvin from Puerto Rico, and ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been in love with airplanes.
It all started when my father and uncle used to take me to our local airport. I still remember the excitement of watching small planes land, seeing the pilots and passengers through the windows—it felt like magic. That fascination never left me.
My very first flight was on December 12, 1992, on an American Airlines Airbus A300-600, from San Juan to Miami. I was just six years old, but I remember it like it was yesterday. The engines roared, the runway rushed by, and then suddenly… we were flying. From that moment on, I knew I was hooked.
Since then, I’ve been flying whenever I can, chasing that same feeling of excitement and wonder. For over ten years, I’ve been sharing my flight experiences on YouTube. What started as a hobby slowly grew into a passion project: recording flights, capturing airport life, and showcasing the incredible views from the skies.
Now, with the rebranding of my channel to Skies & Roads, I’m taking things to the next level—bringing you not only flight videos but also road trips, behind-the-scenes airport content, and more. This blog is a new way to connect with you, share stories, give updates, and reflect on the journeys that shape us.
No matter how many people watch, I keep doing this because I know there are others out there like me—people who feel something special every time they board a plane or hit the road.
